Privacy Policy

Petey Feather Quest ("the game") is made by Nodiver d.o.o., Cesta Zore Perello-Godina 2, 6000 Koper, Slovenia ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described here. This policy explains what information the game uses, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because the game collects very little.

What stays on your device

Your progress, unlocked levels, coins, gold, costumes, skills, settings, chosen controls, your local high scores and your own ghost runs are saved only on your device. We cannot see them. Deleting the game deletes this data.

Online leaderboard and ghosts

When you finish a level, the game sends your result to our server at pete.nodiver.com so it can show the world ranking and let other players race your ghost. It sends:

• the nickname you typed in the game (the default is "Petey"),
• the level number, your score, your time and your stars,
• the platform (Android, iOS or Web),
• a recording of your run in that level, which is Petey's position a few times per second and simple moves such as jump, roll and shoot. Other players can race this ghost and watch it from start to finish together with your nickname,
• a device code made by one way scrambling an identifier of your device. It cannot be turned back into the original identifier and is only used to keep one best result per device and to stop cheating.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a fair world leaderboard (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Please do not use your real full name as your nickname. Entries and ghosts are public to other players and we keep them while the game is online, unless you ask us to delete them. Our server keeps ordinary technical logs such as IP addresses for security for a short time. The server is hosted by Hostinger in the European Union.

Purchases

The full game and packs of gold (the in game currency used for continues, boosts, costumes and skills) can be bought inside the game. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their own privacy policies. We never see your payment details. We only learn which item was bought so it can be given to you.

Advertising

Players who have not bought the full game may see ads, and anyone can choose to watch a rewarded video for a bonus. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID, IP address and similar information to show and measure ads, as described in Google's advertising policy. Where the law requires it the game asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that choice later in the pause menu under Ad privacy. You can also reset or delete the advertising ID in your device settings. Buying the full game removes the automatic ads.

Reminders

On Android the game can show a friendly daily reminder in the evening. These notifications are planned on your device only and no data is sent to us for them. You can turn them off in your device's notification settings.

Children

The game is suitable for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is described above. The only free text a player can enter is the leaderboard nickname, and we ask players not to use their real name. For players under the age of digital consent in their country, ads are shown in a non personalised way where the store and the ad network support it. Parents can contact us to remove any leaderboard entry or ghost.

What we do not do

• We do not ask for an account, email address, location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
• We do not sell personal information.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to its use and to complain to a data protection authority. In Slovenia this is the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec, ip-rs.si). To delete your leaderboard entries and ghosts, email us your nickname and the levels or the approximate time you played and we will remove them.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date above.
